In the SEND workshop, techniques will be taught on how to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), what possible support exists and how to adapt different teaching/leading strategies and activities will be covered to give support and confidence when working with SEND children and young people in an activity environment.
The workshop will help provide different strategies for multiple scenarios along with demonstrating a variety of games and activities that have all been adapted to allow full participation for SEND children and young people.
Who it’s for

All professionals working with children and young people in childcare, youth work, leisure, health, sport and physical activity settings; Holiday Camps, Breakfast Clubs, In-School and After-School Activities, Birthday Parties, Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Community Groups, Children’s Franchises and School Activity Programmes.

ASSESSMENT

In-Person assessments will involve a short Q&A session.
Throughout the online workshop there will be a series of quizzes to complete, followed by a short assessment. This is to display participants’ knowledge and understanding of the online course.
Digital feedback will be provided to ensure participants are comfortable and confident when working with children and young people.
